Different Levels of Electrified Performance
Rather than offering one unexciting electric motor, like your average golf cart, the Hyundai Ioniq comes available with two different performance options that deliver lots of horsepower with zero carbon emissions. The standard option is a single 168 kilowatt (kW) motor, which generates 225-horsepower and enables the Ioniq 5 to travel up to 300 miles to the charge. This standard performance comes paired with rear-wheel-drive, giving you a fast-paced and sporty acceleration.
If you want the most traction you can get for the winter months in New Hartford, NY, the Ioniq 5 comes available with Hyundai's exclusive HTRAC All-Wheel-Drive. This AWD system gives the Ioniq 5 two electric motors, with a 165-kW model providing most of the power and a secondary 74 kW motor to concentrate traction to the front axles when slippage is detected.
